well that was close to points for Osella, but the engine blew up the hill :/
It was a fun race tonight, i tried everything to look for an opportunity with that car. I was all race on Alan´s pace, but decided to pit mid race to get a chance to pass him. My straight line speed was not that good, i was running 40/20 on wings to have a smooth race. The lapping was not that easy with the speed difference, i always tried to free the racing line.

Obviously I'm very happy with 4th, and sooo close to see the checkered flag!
I was really worried because on qualifying perspective I was struggling a lot and thought I might not qualify for this. But thankfully I was in. So I prepared myself for this race to be very rigid on engine temps and revs, and from my perspective it definitely paid off. So off I went with hards and thinking to non stop.
I had issues with lapped down car, sounds unbelievable, I know, but it gets really frustrating when you have to manage lots of different things to have a thin hope of see it finishing a race, and in the most of rare cases I'm not the one being shown the blue flag, I don't get the same approach I tried to have for any of faster cars around me.
Anyway, these points are great reward and definitely I'll find myself celebrating them anytime soon!
Thank you to Admins for hard work making it all happen and the broadcast team as well!

Deeply sry Grant about the first corner. My tires was cold and I was holding right as much as I could trying to avoid it. I,m Kicking my self for it. Maybe my pass on Jules also was a bit to agressive. It did'nt feel like it incar but the replay lookes different. Maybe I braked early and thats why. Had some misshifts mid-race, should have backed off with 20 to go. Was not pushing that hard on the engine, only certain laps. Just bad management overall. Congratulations to the finishers! Wasn’t your fault John, I could and maybe should have backed out so don’t worry

Quite happy for the race despite the retire, i knew that with Motori Merdosi (shitty) i had nearly no chanche to finish the race but i took the challenge. I qualified and that was my 1st goal for the evening, the car was pretty good and thanks to Gabriele's tips (big thank you!) amd a lot of practice was pretty balanced. The formation lap was chaos at the back, the pace was very slow and tyres cold , mix with a sudden brainfart and... i spun at Tabac and broke the front wing, what a shame. So i started from the pit with a big gap to regain. I started with Soft tyres as the Medium were simply not working, gaining on the Osellas and Alan's Minardi. By lap 10 i passed Mark and i was aiming for a steady pace to keep a costant gap from Jan and Alan, i let pass Grant and all the fast paddlers involved in the opening laps accidents to just focus on my race. By lap 25 i was 8 sec from Jan's Osella with a good handling car, i was running with the lowest boost setting to keep alive the engine but the temperatures were not promising a good fate for me, i spun at La rascasse so i had to start again the chasing. The original plan was to change the tyres by lap 30/35 but as i was still near of my PB with worn tyres i stayed out on track. I didn't know if Jan or Alan would have stopped but as i was again on theirs sight and with lapping cars near my exhaust, i stopped for Super soft at lap 45 to have a chance for clean air to try undercut them . And i was really happy when i realized that my strategy worked! I passed Jan and i was 8th gaining 2 second per lap on Alan with low boost setting, a light car and the fastest compound perfectly in temperature, i was even hoping for a point. However the engine suddenly quit at Casino and with it all my hopes. Big smile however on my face after the race, i can't wait to have again another opportunity. Big bravo to Alan for the points, really good race, and to the podium.
Again big thanks to the admin for the effort and to the commentary team for the usual good job, you're my anchor on monday mornings at work!

What a beautiful circuit! Qualyfing P17, I could not manage well the traffic so it was the best result. In race Erich Zakowski told me that enjoy the race and was what I did I thought that it has to be the best circuit for the Zakspeed. A good start and quickly I could manage a good pace. I had to convince my engineers to use low wings, they told that I was crazy and I will finish my race got stuck in a wall The tactic was good enough and the pace was amazing for the Zakspeed, 36's,35´s and one 34 so I was running 8th and with serious possibilities to improve. I had to avoid a couple of cars spinning ahead of me in poor visibility corners, a complicated situation. I had a good battles with some better cars, in the technical part of the circuit, but in acceleration they said "bye bye". I had a good fun until my engine said "enough today Rubén" I only had one miss-shift and was coming out the chicane and the engine died. Brian had the same luck one lap later, so sorry for him, but unfortunately we have to deal with this Congrats to Jules, Gabriele and Tim and also Anders, Alan and Luciano to score points And thanks for the broadcast as always good job guys
