A disastrous race for me. Until the first pit stop everything was going well, I had a safe pace but not fast, that's when I entered the box and saw Michael standing in my (our) place. from that moment on, everything went wrong for me, I waited something like 60 seconds for the box release. It took my concentration away and a few laps after getting back on track I hit the guardrail at Lesmo's first corner and lost a wheel. I made it to the pits, but it was 755 seconds of repairs and the race was ruined. But... I continued to see what would happen and in another loss of concentration I had another accident but I managed to take the car to the pit (it was at that moment that Michael got stuck behind me in the pit). Congratulations to Giovanni for the beautiful victory and the transmission team that did very well.

John Thim (khm, khm) , my apologies for closing you down on Parabolica entry. I checked the mirror and you look so far I focused on entering the turn, and then realized you were there... Was not intentional! Very frustrating driving this bullet of a car with being lapped so much.. once you exit trajectory its hell to keep it on the track.. Finally, I lost concentration seeing Thim leaving the track... missed the braking point. Too bad So much happened. Not much good. To be honest I don't even remember the incident your describing. So... No worries Raul!

Target was to success in this race as i have felt well prepared but unfortunatelly i didn't found a recipe how to effectively save fuel with Lancia, keep consumption around 3,4L/lap and still be fast enough. Longer gears and lower boost around 0,9-1 leads to very bad performance. Congratulation to the winners and especially to Grant and Ray. Really impressive how fast you could be against Porsches. Can i ask you for some infos about your setup? What boost you used for race and what is the main point in setup which makes Lancia competitive?

I didn't have high expectations for this one. Signed up for a one-off late on Friday so practice time was limited. Plus the Cougar C01B doesn't seem to be the most competitive car around Monza.
Crashed immediately after the beginning of qualifying which cost me 21 minutes of repair time. Went out again and crashed into a tyre stack at first opportunity, another 7 minutes lost. So started second-to-last.
As there was a tremendous traffic jam into the first chincane, I could make up 3 or 4 places at the start. All went well for the next ~10 laps, then a Porsche spun in Ascari. There was some kind of lag issue, so the wreck jumped around from one place to the other. I happened to hit it head on. The damage to the front caused some understeer and loss of straight line speed. It was managable but caused the front left tyre to wear quickly. At my first and only stop on lap 43 I changed to the hard compound, decided against repairing the damage.
Not much happened for the next 35 laps except being continuously scared by the faster cars flying by. Towars the end I was running 12th thanks to a lot of retirements in front. John Thim was catching me quickly though which led to the most fun moment of the second half of the race. He came into striking distance between the Lesmos on the very last lap. I defended into the second Lesmo and stayed ahead. Tried to defend again into Ascari but ran a bit wide. John saw it coming, went alongside in the second part of Ascari and easily out-accelerated me.
So a fitting P13 finish for entry #13. The event was fun, so hopefully I will have the possibility to do another one-off at Spa or Brands Hatch.

I'm happy that track is over with for this championship, only one more visit to this place this year.... I'm already dreading that time...
During Practice I had a lot of trouble getting the brakes to work properly, and my driving style meant the Hards were the only tires that was working on the front end of the car. Thankfully, for the race session, David shared his duct settings and the car became much nicer to drive. Thank you once again David, I'm most thankful for the help!
Race:
As I had other obligations during the day, I started from the back, which I was most thankful to be the case.
Opening bit of the race was just survival, finding the spot to sit in the pack and getting to know the car proper.
Was able to sit in the low 20's for most of the first stint and was fighting with Bruno for the last 5-8 laps of the stint, which was a bit of fun, although frustrating as I was hardly ever close enough to have a go where passing is possible but struggling with the dirty air where passing was not possible.
Overcut a few drivers and was sitting behind Kayo and Filippo, slowly making time on both of them and closing the distance down to around 3 seconds when I made a silly error when trying to let a faster car by. It saw me run straight on at Lesmo 1 and damaged the front end.
1 pit-stop later, I was fortunate enough for it to be just on the edge of a full-tank stint. Still decided late on to safe-stop and get to the finish proper. But before that, I had a nice battle with Jason for 10 laps or so. We swapped places a few times, highlight for me being a run up the outside on the S/F straight and broke and went around the outside into the First Chicane.
All in all, very happy to have gotten a point out of this race but can't say enough about how happy I am that the track is done with.
Congrats to all participants and thank you to all. A few drivers were a bit too aggressive while lapping but other than that, everyone behaved themselves that I came across.

Very good race. I didn't practice for qualify, so 17th wasn't that bad for the old Lancia. On the race the main goal was to finish it, so I kept the rithm under control from begining to end. A points finish in 8th was a gift for being concious and not overpushing the car. Great fight with Drechsler for almost 2 hours and a little fuel reserve made me get a gap ahead. I had a hard time on the last laps beacuse I was very tired due to a flu in the last days, but could make it. Fantastic broadcat from Matthew and good grid behaviour all the race from what I saw. Congratulations to all finishers, specially for Ridalls for putting the works Lancia in an excellent position. Eager to get my works Lancia in two races.

Firstable thanks for this amazing championship, Group C are one of my favorite cars along with 80’s Formula 1. I was on hollidays from Monday to Friday and on Saturday and Sunday I had to work out of my base arriving 2 hours before the race, so I had no practice time and I came home very very tired due to I woke up very early in the morning. I was about to not attend the race but I have got a compromise with ISO so so it was only fair to run the race. A horrible qualy 18th, all my attempts except one finished hitting the barrier, the the fatigue began to wreak havoc (I don’t know if the translation is correct) so I had to settle for that position. My tactic for the race was try to catch the front group and save fuel, because my strategy was 2 stops three stints. A bit of confusion at the start and I was able to climb some positions. I did a several overtakes to catch the group, and I thought to stay behind Richard Wilks and Coxon, they are fuel savers masters, but again I felt more and more tired. I had the pace but the fatigue was more and more evident so I started to make mistakes. Finally in Lesmo 2 miscalculated the entry point, I enter ride, slides and spun on the grass hitting the barrier. As I was a danger for the other pilots, I decided to abandoned the race. I hope to be in normal conditions at Spa. Thanks for the broadcast Matthew very professional And congrats to the tandem Giovanni-Liam great race! And Juha and Gabriel fantastic race, and also all who finished the race. See you in "Eau rouge”!

I can’t explain how fun it was to participate yesterday. Honestly these mods you guys produce, along with the broadcasting just never gets old. Qualifying went alright to be fair. Managed 5th, could have had higher maybe but it’s about putting the lap together and I couldn’t so well done Giovanni, Tim and Martin! Start was great. I had a long first gear which really pulled me along into second place after first chicanes. After that I settled into my rhythm whilst keeping it in fuel. Was fairly surprised with my pace I won’t deny and was adamant Gio was not making fuel.. turns out he was haha! Mega drive mate! Pits came and was mayhem but thankfully I was on the right end of the stick. So Dad went out and enjoyed his drive and kept it on the track which is all we both wanted until our second stop. At this point I was exiting the pits 8th 35 seconds down on 5th which is what my aim was. I started to really push this car to its limits. Unfortunately through some DNF’s I found myself chasing Richard Wilks for 4th in the dying laps and had just enough fuel to mount a challenge and take home 4th. This race really screwed me up energy wise haha I was exhausted. But again well done Gio and Liam. You guys nailed it. Good job fixing the issues in time Liam! Juha for second and Gabriel for your insane fuel saving. For me this result was needed morale wise - seeing a chequered flag and having fun 100% of the time Unfortunately me and Dad will miss Spa as we are on a family Holiday. But brands hopefully we’ll have something for you 956’s

Short day for me. I pulled a Scott Goodyear . I did not realize we had changed the laps allowed to serve a penalty, as I thought it used to be unlimited in case the game gave a penalty in error. I was given a stop and go penalty immediately at the start for being ahead of a car I was supposed to be behind. I thought this was in error and kept going only to be booted after three laps. Kind of feel stupid in hindsight. Apologies for wasting a car on a dumb mistake.
