Welcome fellow simracers!
With our 2024 Championships drawing to a close, we are announcing our plans for the 2025 Season. As before, each ISO series will feature in-house content with cars representing different eras of racing.
CART 1987
Back by popular demand, our 1987 IndyCar series will offer a challenging mix of ovals, street circuits and road courses for our drivers. Here, we will recreate the classic confrontation between the venerable Cosworth DFX engine and the new Chevrolet Ilmor. Which will prove to be fast and reliable? There is also the question of chassis: will March or Lola emerge as the dominant customer car? And will the Penske PC16 meet Roger's high standard of effort equaling results? Aside from the intriguing collection of cars, engines, and venues, this series requires its drivers to think strategically; especially when it comes to fuel consumption, tire management, and the often unpredictable full course yellows. The driver who is crowned Champion in this series will likely possess superior versatility, creativity, and a visceral will to win. Of course, the series will include a cherished tradition here at ISO -- the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race, and all the pomp and circumstance that goes with this event!
For those who are of the closed-wheel persuasion, we present the large-fendered excitement of the Deutsche Rennsport Meisterschaft. Specifically, we will be focused on Division 2, where Ford Capris and BMWs will spar for superiority at a wide array of circuits. Success in these cars will require quick reflexes, sound tire management, and the ability to control unruly wheelspin whilst in the heat of battle. This storied series featured such noted drivers as Hans Heyer, Harald Ertl and Manfred Winkelhock. Which of our drivers will possess the skill to tame these beasts over eleven rounds and claim the Championship at mid-year?
LUKÁŠ VYDRA TROPHY
In addition to CART 1987 and DRM 1979, we will once again host a series of open events dedicated to the memory of our friend and fellow simracer, Lukáš Vydra. For drivers with many real life responsibilities, these open events will present an opportunity to compete with the best at ISO without the need to commit to a full series. The Lukáš Vydra Trophy will include our annual Indianapolis 500, and a varied selection of contests designed to test the adaptability of any driver.
*Please note* There will be a separate announcement later on in 2025 about the series we will run alongside CART 1987 in the second half of the calendar year.
So if you are a clean, competitive and serious simracer, you are heartily invited to join us in our 2025 Season! As in previous years, regular attendance in our races will be taken into account when assigning full season drives.
Registration and racing will remain free as usual, but we will appreciate any >> HELP << towards covering the costs of the server renewal, due December 1st, 2024 at about €1000.
Thank you all!
