28 drivers is a very healthy grid for a 500 mile contest Really looking forward to this one.

Very difficult pit entrance. I assume drivers must stay on left and commit to the lower lane in turn 3, right?

If the procedure is the same as the previous years, you must fade to the left on the backstraight (Like we did at Indy). That will show to any drivers behind you are pitting.
Obviously Alberto or Jason will confirm.

Yes, signal pit by briefly putting two wheels on the apron in the backstraight.

Yes, signal pit by briefly putting two wheels on the apron in the backstraight. After pulling to the apron in the backstraight should I still use raceline in T3 and T4 and pull into pitlane after T4 from raceline? Just double checking. Better safe than sorry.

Yes once you have signaled, you race as normal into T3 but then go slower for the apex of T4 so you can enter the pits. The idea is that people who will continue racing can pass you on the outside in the chute between T3 and T4

Apparently when you can't pass someone, who is a full Lap ahead of you, you're supposed to just run them over. You're damn lucky I didn't hit Jason or anyone else when I came back up the track, THIAGO!

It was dire right from the start. Picked up some damage very early on, chose to repair it on my first pitstop and rejoined at the back of the field. Then the USAC man told me to pass a dozen cars and follow Adam Hackman for the restart Gradually lost the plot regarding pit strategy, bent the car more and was told to pick up places under caution again before the crash put me out of my misery. What a mess

Yea, yet another stupid race for me. Slow on the straights, slow through the corners, and let's not talk about the people I was racing for position.
Little hint for a special someone: On a restart, STAY CLOSE TO THE CARS AHEAD OF YOU! YOU COMING FULL-STEAM AT 150 MPH WHEN EVERYONE IS STILL LOOKING FOR THEIR TURBO PRESSURE IS LITERALLY MURDEROUS! Second hint: THIS IS NOT A ROAD RACE! Dive-bombing into corners DOESN'T WORK! Be glad I pulled back every single damn time. Jesus christ.
I'm not going to race in USAC again as apparently, no matter what, I'm simply not competitive and shit like this happens.
EDIT: Also I'd like to sincerely apologize to Greg. I didn't mean to hit you early on, and I feel more than responsible for your DNF.

Don't sweat it Pascal, I found myself in a crowd of cars that were much quicker than I was. I tried to go high and let the line of cars go by on the inside. I think we just simply got together and my car was crabbing into the pits. Day over, was having fun though up to that point.

I made a few changes during the warmup and the car felt good for the race. I had the speed to overtake easily when following a car and I was hoping for a good result. I then clipped the wall and got a bit of damage on the rear, then later on I did the same on the front and then after a yellow flag around about lap 100 I was pushing too hard to try and pass Alberto and I slammed the wall hard losing the rear wing. I couldn't make it back to the pits after getting stuck in the gravel therefore I had to escape.
