You guys might wanna check the Server settings and make sure it's Forcing the SuperSpeedway configuration. It seems that it's not at the moment.

The config.ini file of the cars does that, what car is not forced to use that config? Yours?
EDIT: Tried again with my car and also with yours, set the short track config and went online and no issues - the game enforced the superspeedway one. Maybe you have a setup assigned as favorite and it's loading when you enter the track and that is why you see different settings in the car? The only thing that is locked in each config are the tires, the rest you can adjust (wings, springs, etc). On the server at Indy you should see the tires as SSW/1.0 (Superspeedway, one inch stagger), if you see that the config is enforced.

I just received an invitation to the rehab center. On one hand, it's a great news. Unfortunately, I start on 12th Tuesday, which means I won't be able to race at Indy. I'm gutted ☹️ My McLaren is free...

Most important thing is your health mate, hope you will at least be able to follow the race from there.

Most important thing is your health mate, hope you will at least be able to follow the race from there. Yeah, I know. But Indy has always been the racing highlight of the year and I was looking forward to it during all those months on a hospital bed. To miss it by just four days is heartbreaking. I'll watch, for sure.

If that is any consolation, you will have another chance next year - and with a brand new mod you haven't seen yet

Jokes aside, I hope you get better and better, you are a great example of overcoming and willpower. Be well Petr!

Are we allowed to go below the inside yellow line in qualifying and the race? 2 wheels, 4 wheels below?

Are we allowed to go below the inside yellow line in qualifying and the race? 2 wheels, 4 wheels below? Yes you can use the whole apron, except for when a car is going slowly in that lane exiting/entering the pits. The apron is considered part of the track.

You guys might wanna check the Server settings and make sure it's Forcing the SuperSpeedway configuration. It seems that it's not at the moment. i too experienced something that seemed to be related to the selected car configuration. did a couple test laps sunday (or maybe monday) night and got a baseline set worked out. then when i was running yesterday it just felt way off. left the server and saw it was showing the low drag config from michigan still "installed". selected the "regular" superspeedway, joined the server, and suddenly the car was back to how it was previously. swapped it back just to test and it was back to being way different. maybe something about the forcing of configs isn't working as intended? anyway...
it is always a good practice to select the proper car, for indy is is the "SuperSpeedway", NOT the low drag

Always make sure you load up the game with the right car config. Just get in the habit of it.

OK let's clarify some things:
- No matter the car cinfig you select in the menu, the game will load automatically the correct one. But when you go back to the menu, the one you selected will be loaded back and appear there.
- The ONLY physics differences between configs are the tires. The other difference is the default setup, but that is something you can change in the garage as any setup, or if you have a default one asigned as favorite, it will automatically load it. So EVEN if the game loaded the wrong config, the only possible difference would be the tires.
- Knowing that the ONLY physics difference is the tires, and if you still don't trust me when I say the game will automatically load the correct one, you can check in the garage menu what tires your car is using. SS 1.0 is for superspeedway, low or normal drag config and you shoudl get it at Ontario, Michigan, Indy and Pocono. SW 1.25 is speedway, will only appear at Trenton, and ST 1.5 is short track which you will see at Phoenix and Milwaukee.
As long as you see the correct tires in the garage, you can be sure you have the proper config.
